My Journey

VortExnerg Flow

My name is Christopher Gonzales, Licensed Massage Therapist and Graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington, DC. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and nationally certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. In addition to my massage practice, I am on staff at the Potomac Massage Training Institute, Washington DC.

Throughout my life, I have always been fascinated by the human body. It is truly a work of art in motion! I trained and participated in various sporting events including running and cycling for most of my adult life. As an accomplished marathoner, I learned the basic fundamentals of training and preparation for the physical endurance and challenges. A major focus for me as an athlete has been to ensure proper eating habits and good nutrition as well as learning to listen to my body. I also had to “re-learn” how to obtain proper rest and rejuvenation so that my body could heal from the strenuous training programs.

One day, while I was training and preparing for my first marathon, a trainer suggested that I consider introducing massage therapy into my regimen. At that point in my life, I had not considered massage and bodywork and simply had no interest. Little did I know that it was only a matter of time when my mind opened to the possibilities of how essential massage and bodywork would impact my overall success in obtaining, as well as exceeding, my personal goals and objectives.
